This is a superb collection of the definitive Oxford reference works in English language and literature. 1978 marked the 500^th anniversary of the Oxford University Press and to mark the occasion, the Press authorized the issue by the Franklin Library of a remarkable and definitive reference library of the English language in a magnificent leather-bound commemorative edition that was limited to 7,500 editions world-wide. Each volume is bound in fine leather and ornamented in 22 karat gold.
