Features a Vonnegut Self Portrait, Inscription, and Signature

Published by the Franklin Library in 1976, this is the first edition, first printing of Vonnegut’s classic, Slapstick or Lonesome No More! The book is inscribed and signed by Kurt Vonnegut and features a wonderful self portrait with the caption “very bad!” with an arrow pointing to the self portrait. At the bottom of the listing are two photographs showing the book and the portrait/signature.

Book features: premium hand-cut full leather boards with a distinct cover design in ornate 22-karat gold gild. The spine is hubbed with raised horizontal ridges formed in the leather. There are silk moiré endpapers with a sewn in matching satin bookmark. The pages are gold gilded to protect against dust and moisture and the paper used is acid neutral to last generations without discoloring. 

Condition:  Near FINE+. The book is in excellent condition and appears to have never been read. There are no bookplates, markings, or any other signs of previous ownership. There is a very minor rub on the top hub on the spine. Due to the use of a marker by Vonnegut, there is bleed through to the blank pages on both sides of the drawing and inscription.
