This is the complete three volume 60th Anniversary Collection of “Astounding Stories: Classic Stories from the Golden Age of Science Fiction” published by The Easton Press in 1990. These remarkable volumes reprint the original appearances of short stories first published in the pulp magazine, “Astounding Stories” and features works by the masters of the genre: Padget, Schmitz, Blish, Russell, Brown, Simak, Anderson, Asimov, Sturgeon, Clement, Williamson, Hamilton, Leinster, Lovecraft, Schachner, Stuart, Heinlein, de Camp, and Van Vogt.
Each volume features full leather bindings with hubbed spines, gold gilt pictorial stamping and lettering, silk moiré endpapers, gold gilded edges, and a full color paste-on to the front cover reproducing original cover art from “Astounding Stories”. Each volume also contains the original cover illustration for each story on the page facing the beginning of the story.
The books are in FINE- condition with some marks to the gilted edges. There are blank Easton Press bookplates attached to the inside of the front cover.
