Metropolitan Museum of Art Leather Bound Series
Complete 12-Volume Collectors' Edition
Franklin Library in cooperation with the Metropolitan Museum of Art published a spectacular 12 volume leather bound collector's edition of “The Metropolitan Museum of Art – Art at Home” in 1979 with each volume highlighting the art of a different society and culture. The binding designs were created by the Franklin Library and feature uniform leather covered boards with beautiful gold gild illustrations. Each volume measures approximately 12” x 10” and is profusely illustrated with color plates and photographs. The books feature all the usual Franklin fineries including beautiful frontispieces, gold gilting, gold gilting, and built in satin bookmarks.

The condition of the collection is FINE- to FINE with some volumes evidencing very minor shelfwear.
