Elvis at Graceland by Ken Brixey and Twyla Dixon
Photography by William Eggleston
First Edition
“As New” Condition – Still in Publisher’s Shrinkwrap
This is a first edition, first printing of “Elvis at Graceland” published by Cypress Press exclusively for Elvis Presley Enterprises, Memphis in 1983. For this project, William Eggleston photographed Elvis Presley's villa in Memphis. Eggleston depicts the house (now a museum) and with it his mastery of color photography captures Elvis's over-the-top 70's design & taste. This publication precedes and includes many of the images published in his portfolio "William Eggleston's Graceland" (Middendorf Gallery, Washington, D.C., 1984, 11 dye-transfer prints). Besides the portfolio, many of the Eggleston images have not been published elsewhere.
Measuring approximately 11” x 9”, the book is bound in photographically illustrated wraps. The condition of the book is “As New” – still in the publisher’s original shrinkwrap with the publisher's printed circular gold foil "Collector's Edition" sticker on the wrapping. The shrinkwrap has been cut open at the top to verify that the book was in pristine condition.
