This is a first edition of “Liberty: The Statue and the American Dream” published by the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation with the cooperation of the National Geographic Society in 1985 to coincide with the national celebration of the Statue of Liberty's centennial and to contribute to the restoration and preservation of the Statue and Ellis Island for future generations of Americans. The book contains a large number of photographs and illustrations as well as a detailed history of the Statue of Liberty.

Measuring approximately 12” x 9.75”, the book is bound in padded faux leather with gold gilding on the cover and spine. There are decorative endpapers with a built in satin bookmark. The condition of the book is Near FINE+ with minor surface and edge wear.
