Exceptional Condition with Original Shipping Case
This is a signed first edition, first printing of “The Pageant of History in Northern California” published by American Trust Co., San Francisco on the occasion of its 100th Anniversary in 1952. Containing 60 spectacular photographs and text by Nancy Newhall, the book pays tribute to the beauty of Northern California.
Measuring approximately 14” x 11”, the book is bound in photographically illustrated stiff stock paper covers with a transluscent spiral –bound comb. The book is housed in the publisher’s original shipping carton that is comprised of a protective sleeve which fits into the shipping carton that features a black-and-white line drawing of a waterfront scene on the back.
The condition of the book is FINE with a very minor crease to the lower right edge of the front wrap that does affect any of the pages. The shipping carton is in Near FINE condition with some surface and edge wear. The book has been boldly signed by Ansel Adams on the title page.
