This is a remarkable and unique edition of one of all time great literary works, “Death of a Salesmen” by Arthur Miller. The Limited Edition Club published this title in 1984. This is Leonard Baskin’s “artist’s copy” that is signed by both Arthur Miller and Leonard Baskin who inscribed the book to this brother, “for Bernard from Leonard”. In addition, the book also contains five etchings by Baskin that have all been signed by Leonard Baskin in pencil. For each etching which is protected by a tissue guard, Baskin has written at the bottom left “Artist’s Proof” and signed the bottom right side with “Baskin”. The book is bound in a full leather binding with a gold gilt stamp of the title on the spine.
Also included with the book is a handwritten note from Leonard Baskin to his brother Bernard. The note states, "12 July 1985; Dear Bernard, this is an instance of special (undeciphered word) speedy binding. Enjoyed yr visit - Leonard." (in red ink).
The condition of the book is MINT. When it comes to special books, this is as good as it gets.
Photographs of the book, signatures, an etching, and the note appear at the bottom of this listing.
