Joan Miro – The Complete Catalogue Raisonné
Lithographe I-VI, 6 Volumes
Maeght Editeurs, 1972 – 1992
Featuring 34 Original Color Lithographs Printed by Mourlot
This is the six volume collection of the complete catalogue raisonné (French-language issue) of “Lithographe I-VI” published by Maeght Editeurs, Paris from 1972 to 1992 covering Joan Miro’s work from 1930 to 1981. Laura Cumming, Art Critic for The Guardian wrote about Miro’s work in the April, 2011 issue, “When Miró died in 1983, at the age of 90, he had long been cherished as the last of the modernist stars. His pictorial language was singular, instantly recognisable and – quite rightly – no longer perceived as some Catalan dialect of surrealism. Its elements were, and remain, upliftingly joyous and familiar: signals, signs and flags, butterflies, eyes and shooting stars, dots and darts, insects, sperms and body parts, whiskery critters and innocent forms that proliferate like teeming cells through the cosmos of his art.”
Each volume measure 13” x 10” and is bound in cloth covered boards with a paper and acetate dust jacket. The following are the details of each volume:
