MINT Condition – Still in the Publisher’s Shrinkwrap
This is a beautiful oversized leather bound edition of “The Art of Photography at National Geographic” published by the Easton Press. To commemorate their 100 year anniversary in 1988, National Geographic initiated “The Odyssey Project”. The project involved exploring in the name of art the vast photographic archives of the National Geographic Society with the goal of presenting to the public in a traveling exhibition to be held at the world’s great museums the “best of the best” photographs ever taken for National Geographic. This book features the 289 spectacular photographs selected to be part of this exhibition. Also contained in the book is a list of the photographs, a complete index, and a short biography on the photographers.
Measuring 12" x 10" and containing 365 pages, the book is bound in full leather boards and features silk moiré endpapers, gold gilded covers, gold gilting on the page ends, and a built in silk bookmark.
The book is in MINT condition and still in the publisher’s shrinkwrap.
