The “The Oxford Library of the World’s Great Books” is a series of books jointly published by the Oxford University Press and the Franklin Library. Selected by the staff of Oxford University, these books represent some of the finest literature ever written. The Oxford University Press joined with the Franklin Library to publish the collection because they brought a unique style and bookmaking talents to the project. These books feature all the usual Franklin Library fineries including full leather covers, marbled endpapers, gold gilding and gilting, and satin bookmarks. The overall condition of the collection is FINE with some volumes having the most minimal of shelf wear. The books look wonderful as you can see from the photographs and appear to be unread.
