*** PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE ARE NOT LEATHER BOUND BOOKS ***
This is a beautiful collection of 25 hard cover books that contain some of the finest mystery novels ever written and feature beautiful bindings, marbled endpapers, gold or silver gilting and gilding, wonderful illustrations, and fantastic cover treatments. Published between 1987 to 1990, the Franklin Library issued a few leather bound editions in this series but eventually abandoned them to focus on the very elaborate hard covers so they could capture the spirit of the books with fantastic cover treatments. Of particular note is the velvet cover treatment for the Agatha Christie title. The books in the collection are:
