Condition Report
The volume shows tight binding and secure & undamaged hinges, lightly rubbed and darkened. Small chip to inner portion of spine's crown; leather remains whole and supple - rich red in color, it displays much better and cleaner in person. Internally complete and generally clean, with occasional light spotting to pages. Top edge gilt; fore & bottom edges untrimmed, resulting in a couple of small peripheral tears to leaves. Overall, a beautiful and unusual copy of Byron's controversial work.
