Recent fine binding of three-quarter burgundy calf leather and decorative boards. Nicely detailed with decorative gilt tooled elements on the spine as well as gilt ruling to the covers.

A collection of 4 traditional folk tales that appeared in a periodical called “Little Folks” from 1896 – 1902 with 35 illustrations by Arthur Rackham that includes a duotone frontis and 12 full page monotone illustrations with the remaining being in-text and half page monotone illustrations.

Condition Report
The volume shows a tight binding and secure & undamaged hinges. The leather remains whole and supple - rich burgundy in color. Internally complete and free from foxing with the exception of the protective onion paper that is laid in to protect the frontispiece. The pages are age toned. Overall, a beautiful and unusual copy of an uncommon Rackham title.
