A very nice binding that features 12 tipped in photographic illustrations from the Boydell Gallery with the text by Charles and Mary Lamb who provide excellent insight into the most important of Shakespeare’s works.
Measures 8.75” x 5.75”, 386 pages
Condition Report
The binding is in Very Good condition with rubs to the spine and edges, some marks and scratches to the boards, and a slight bow to the front cover. Internally complete and clean with some foxing to the margins and paper used for the tipped in plates. The binders stamp appears on the first free endpaper. A gift inscription dated 1901 is on the second free endpaper.
