A later edition of the complete poems of Whittier that also includes several nice illustrations and a frontispiece portrait of Whittier that is protected by a tissue guard.
Measures 8” x 5.5” with 541 pages as well as an index of titles and first lines as well as a note from the author.
Condition Report
The volume is in Near Fine condition with minor surface wear. The binding is secure with no loose pages. There is some separation of the first three endpapers but the binding is intact. (please see photo below) The leather remains whole and supple. Internally complete and very clean with some minor foxing to the endpages. Overall, a very attractive leather bound copy of the complete poems of John Greenleaf Whittier.
