This is a very rare signed first edition with original drawing of “Dali” published by Abrams, New York, in 1968. The book is one of the best books on Dali’s work and is filled with numerous high quality color and black and white plates. Edited and arranged by Max Gerard, the book has a very distinctive dust jacket that resembles a vintage candy box cover.

What makes this book special is the original drawing by Dali that appears with his signature on the title page. The drawing is of a shooting star which often appears in his work. Included with the book is an 8” x 10” signed photograph taken by photographer and writer, Michael Delon at the Plaza Hotel in New York. In addition, there is copy of a Oui magazine article that is one of many published interviews with Dali conducted by Michael Delon.

The book is in Fine condition in a Fine gold foil dust jacket protected with a mylar cover.
