Ryan McGinley by Ryan McGinley
First Edition, First Printing, 2004
Signed By Ryan McGinley
This is a very rare signed, first edition, first printing of “Ryan McGinley” published by the Flasher Factory, New York in 2004. This is the first regularly published book of McGinley’s work. While his earlier photography seemed to place him in the confessional tradition of Larry Clark and Nan Goldin, the pictures of naked youth in strange settings that began with this book broke new territory and revealed a unique voice. McGinley is the youngest artist ever to have a solo show at the Whitney, and is the recipient of the Young Photographer Infinity Award from ICP.
Measuring 10” x 8.5”, this 64 page book is bound in light blue wraps. The condition is Fine – with minor scuffing to the top and bottom of the spine. This is a very rare signed first edition by an exciting young photographer.
