I Want to Take Picture by Bill Burke
Signed by Bill Burke
Mint Condition
This is the first Twin Palms limited edition (2000 copies) of Bill Burke’s seminal book, “I Want To Take Picture” published by Twin Palms Publishers, Santa Fe, in 2007. The book was originally published by Nexus Press in 1987 and immediately became a photo book classic. “I Want to Take Picture” features black-and-white images which Burke shot during several trips through Southeast Asia in the early 80s, particularly focusing on the after-affects of the Khmer Rouge regime in Cambodia.
The book is in photographic boards and was issued without a dust jacket. Measuring 12” x 18”, the book contains numerous approximately 60 remarkable four-color illustrations.
This is a flawless copy in Mint condition that has been boldly signed by Bill Burke on the blank page facing the title page. Given the limitation and influence of Burke’s book (cited in Roth’s “The Book of 101 Books”), this signed copy of one of the highspots of 20th century photography is bound to become scarce.
