Binding Details: Signed custom binding by the Harcourt Bindery, Charlestown, Massachusetts bound in morocco leather over complimentary cloth covered boards with raised bands to the spine, gilt titles and ruling, and gilted decorative devices and the head and heel of the spine. There are single gilt lines to the boards and corners, hand-sewn silk endbands marbled endpapers, with the top page ends being gold gilted. The Harcourt Bindery stamp appears on the top of the first free endpaper and the bindery label appears on the bottom of the last free endpaper.

Mr. Adam emphasizes the role of careful craftsmanship, whether the purpose of image is creative or functional. In particular, he relates Polaroid materials to Image Management, the Zone System, and practical sensitometry, contrast control through pre-exposure and development modification, filters, and other techniques. Properly used, Adams believes, Polaroid images may possess beautiful tonal qualities not possible with other processes.”
